About Procurement and Supplier Diversity Services

Procurement and Supplier Diversity Services (PSDS) handles the entire procurement process for academic and administrative departments at the University, from requisition and contract negotiation through ordering, receiving, invoicing, and payment.

Our Services

  • Purchasing. PSDS is charged with setting procurement procedures for the University in accordance with policy and state law, facilitating procurements on behalf of clients for large dollar purchases or restricted goods and services, strategic sourcing, and establishing contracts for the academic division, facilities management (except capital construction), and College at Wise.

  • UVA Marketplace. PSDS administers “The UVA Marketplace,” an electronic procure-to-pay solution. The Marketplace features a curated e-catalog shopping environment that makes using a contract easy for over 2,000 University shoppers, a registration portal and electronic invoicing for suppliers, and advanced sourcing and contract management for PSDS staff.

  • Payables. Our payables program encompasses invoice matching and payments, both traditional and strategic (ACH and Ghost Card electronic payments), vendor file administration, all reimbursements to UVA employees through the University’s ExpenseUVA expense management tool, the Travel & Expense purchasing card or “T&E Card,” and all related policies and procedures.

  • Travel. The Travel team manages the program for University-related employee travel including booking travel through the University’s preferred travel management company including an online booking tool, managing travel contracts, tracking unused airline tickets, increasing adoption of the program at the University, and all related policies and procedures.

  • Supplier Diversity.
